With a trail of fire behind her, Beyoncé is TRULY owning the game right now.
But we better cherish it now, cuz the Queen B has hinted at a retirement in the March 2013 issue of Vogue -- and it's one that could be happening a lot sooner than we'd like!
Telling the fashion diary she doesn't have to prove anything anymore, she says:
"I don't feel like I have to please anyone. I feel free. I feel like I'm an adult. I'm grown. I can do what I want. I can say what I want. I can retire if I want. That's why I've worked hard."
But that's not the only sentiment that has us concerned! Changing her focus to life with baby Blue Ivy , and their future, she reveals:
"At some point it's very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and do all the things that any child should be able to do. School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It's very important for me."
And you tell us... is it really possible to have normal lemonade stands when your mother's busy being the gurl who runs the world??
These hints give insight to Bey's thoughts of the future, but as we all know -- things can always change! So let's just focus on the present (if only to save our wallets from buying an insane amount of tissue).
When it comes to the NOW, the Super Bowl 's reigning goddess dished on her new album, explaining:
"It is a lot more sensual... empowering. I'm [still] tweaking. I still have things to figure out. I'm still completely nervous. I still feel pressure."
But just cuz she's a perfectionist doesn't mean she isn't having any fun! (You couldn't really shake it the way she does if you didn't. Ha!)
Having worked with collaborators like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake , she said they treated the work like a camping trip:
"We had dinners with the producers every day, like a family. It was like a camp. Weekends off. You could go and jump in the pool and ride bikes , the ocean and grass and sunshine... it was really a safe place."
Ooo well that just sounds rich in AHmazingness!
Speaking of riches, HBO is gonna make a fortune with her new documentary -- Life Is But A Dream. When thinking about it, Bey even gets a little emotional:
"My story has never been told—no one really knows who I am. This movie has healed me in so many ways. It makes me want to cry. I'm sorry. I'm very passionate about it, and it just feels good."
The documentary, which features the Queen in a light like we've never seen her before, shows her without make-up and in bed, talking into her laptop.
While images of glamour will undoubtedly paint the screen (how could they not when you're following the life of Bey), the film is said to convey a more intimate light. One scene will even reveal her and Jay-Z performing a duet of Coldplay 's Yellow aboard a yacht in Croatia.
So needless to say, we're in for a TREAT come February 16!
