The entire world was SHOCKED when George Clooney announced that he got engaged to his girlfriend Amal Alamuddin!
Well, everyone but Matt Damon !
Matty D saw this coming from a mile away, apparently!
He recently spilled about his Monuments Men co-star’s plan to get hitched and how happy he was to hear the news.
Damon said:
"I'm just thrilled that he met Amal and that they’re as happy as they are. He deserves it.”
But after meeting Georgie’s bride-to-be, Matt explained why he knew they’d wind up walking down the aisle someday! He admitted:
"Anyone who has met Amal isn't surprised, and we're all really excited for him.”
She’s THAT great of a girl!
Matt’s been married himself for nearly 10 years now so hopefully he has some pointers for George on how to make this, his second marriage, last a lifetime!
Maybe with some kids?!?
Damon doesn’t know whether there will be any little Clooneys coming anytime soon. He said:
"You gotta ask him that one. I don’t know.”
