Grey's Anatomy's best boy grip Timothy Day is suing ABC Studios and Disney -ABC International over gender discrimination.
No, not against Mister Day.
In his lawsuit, the former ABC employee alleges that he was fired solely because he voiced concern over "a pattern of pervasive gender discrimination and harassment perpetrated" by the show's director of photography Herb Davis.
According to the suit, Mr. Davis would regularly demean the women he worked with both directly by questioning their competence, and indirectly by making sexist jokes.
This behavior even extended to delaying shots so long that the female directors would go over budget - for which they would shoulder all the blame!
Day says he brought complaints of this discrimination to both the producers and human resources, but the only result seemed to be that his contract wasn't renewed!
Day is now seeking damages both for lost income and emotional distress.
If half of what he says is true, it sounds like they fired the wrong man!
