Nina Dobrev went through a rough breakup with Ian Somerhalder last May, but it's easy to forget about heartache when a studly rock 'n' roll royal offers a ride! LOLz!

While The Vampire Diaries starlet arrived at Coachella this weekend WITHOUT a man on her arm, it wasn't long before she was spotted getting VERY close with Gene Simmons' son, Nick Simmons.

And thankfully, Nick was kind enough to document their musical canoodling session.

Along with the Facebook snap, Nick wrote:

She is certainly a gem and she fits oh so perfectly on your shoulders! HA!

Could Nick and Nina follow in the footsteps of Aaron Paul and his wifey and find a love that lasts forever thanks to the festival sun??! Or is this just an average hook up between two partying hotties??!
