Matt Lauer Fired From Today, Hired For Jeopardy?!

That's right!!!

The long-running game show might be saying farewell to its three-decade host Alex Trebek and HELLO to Matt Lauer!

Following his heart attack last summer, rumors have been swirling that Alex will be retiring from Jeopardy when his contract runs out in 2015 and it just so happens that Matt is a free agent after getting the boot from Today!!!

While final decisions won't be made for at least another year, Matt is supposedly at the top of the hosting list and he seems to be onboard with the idea too.

Matt wouldn't have the stress of Today's overwhelming schedule, so maybe he will be a bit nicer to those around him! HA!

We're not entirely sure Matt has as much universal appeal as Alex, but how much can he f*$@ up saying, "This is Jeopardy"??!
