If Jay Leno is going down, he's going down swinging!
With rumors swirling that NBC is looking to replace him, you would think the Late Night host would learn to play nice with the network. But apparently that just isn't his style!
In one of his latest monologues, Leno throws some serious shade at NBC execs, saying:
"Well you know the whole legend of St. Patrick, right? St. Patrick drove all of the snakes out of Ireland, and then they came into the United States and became NBC executives! It's a fascinating story!"
Ouch!!
We're guessing the big wigs at NBC weren't too thrilled with the punch line, especially considering that entertainment chief Robert Greenblatt was already upset about jokes he recently made about the network falling to 5th in the ratings. It sounds to us like he's walking on some VERY thin ice!
This hardly seems like a good idea since there have recently been reports that the network is looking to get rid of the veteran host and replace him with Jimmy Fallon . But the last time Leno was supposed to be replaced it didn't go according to plan. Just ask Conan O'Brien !
