You may have had made sure that you and Taylor Swift are seated no where near each other during the 2013 Grammy Awards taking place tomorrow night, but you WILL still be seeing her up close and personal...AND before any other performance of the evening!
Because we've just learned that the country cutie is set to OPEN the entire ceremony, most likely with a rousing rendition of one of latest smash singles - and the track for which she's nominated in the Record of the Year category - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!
She explained:
"Oh my god, it's Grammy week, it's so hectic. I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I'm just really hoping all the pieces come together this week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it's all very exciting too. You know what's interesting about these performances, like we presented this performance to the Grammy committee and we just said, 'This is what we'd like to do,' and they said 'OK, cool, you have a performance slot.' And then like a week ago they call us and they're like 'Oh, by the way you're opening the show.' So it's not like they approach you and say listen 'Let's do a big opening performance thing,' it just kind of surprised me that I was gonna go first. But I'm really, really excited about it. I think you should perform the song that's nominated. Like, if you got a song nominated for Record of the Year, you might as well perform that. It's a big hint."
AHHHHHHHH!!!
Believe us, gurl! That hint was heard LOUD and CLEAR!
And as we're sure you can tell by our scream, we couldn't be more EFFING THRILLED!
For a night with such a wide array of supreme talent, we think this will be the PERFECT performance to not only get the party started...but also set the bar nice and HIGH for everyone else taking the stage after her!
It's gonna be GOOD, you guys!
