We've kept our fingers crossed for the past month, and now, we know that it's paid off in the BEST way, folks!
Because on the third season of American Horror Story, season one regular Taissa Farmiga is BACK!
Although the young actress has been in discussions with series creator Ryan Murphy since before production of the second season - of which she was not a part - wrapped, whatever contract negotiations that needed to be finalized have been signed off on, and she's now officially on board to re-join Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and her former homicidal love-interest, Evan Peters, for another round of shrieks!
As the mastermind behind the FX anthology fright-fest explains:
“I missed her this season. There wasn’t really a role for her. I feel very protective of her and I didn’t want her to go back into the loony bin—it was too dark. So I thought well ‘I want Taissa to be one of the leads next year.’ I called her up and pitched her the character for the season and she loved it and she said, ‘Yes let’s do it.’”
But get this! Gurlfriend is NOT alone!
According to reports, there is still ANOTHER season one alum who missed out on the nazis, aliens, and general WTF-ness of Asylum that is planning a reunion!
But seeing that this edition of the series spans multiple cities in modern day times and is said to include QUITE the element of glamor, WHO KNOWS what to even expect from anyone?!
We're at a COMPLETE loss as to the direction this one is taking!
But that makes it all the more exciting, don't you think?!
