And surprisingly, she's on his side!
On Monday's episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg brought up Chevy Chase's recent recent temper tantrum on the set of NBC's Community. As you may have heard, he decided to drop the N-word while arguing with writers that his character has become too racist.
Even though he apologized for using the word to make his point, his African American co-stars, Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown, are reportedly pissed.
Whoopi, as she addressed the story during Hot Topic this morning and said:
"I think Chevy was making a very valid point and I guess he woke everybody up to get what he was talking about because nobody liked hearing it coming from him and no one will like it on TV, so I guess his point was made."
Maybe so, but he probably didn't need to say the word to make his point.
And we're not alone because Sherri Shepherd didn't quite share Whoopi's perspective either. Find out what she had to say on the issue (above)!
