Kristen Stewart may want things to go back to normal in her relationship with Robert Pattinson now that he's beginning the process of forgiving her for cheating on him with Snow White director Rupert Sanders, but as to be expected, it is just NOT that simple from the actor's perspective!
As we've reported, despite being out in public together again, R-Patz is having a hard time feeling comfortable trusting KStew...and just like the rumors have persisted, he's just not sure she's being entirely honest about her indiscretions!
Sources close to the pair explain:
“Kristen is working hard to try and force the relationship into what it was before. But the truth is, she’s going to have to take it slowly with Robert because he’s still having trouble trusting her again. For him to carry on like nothing happened is very hard. Kristen is eternally sorry for cheating on him and he has forgiven her -- kind of. The problem is he can’t forget her infidelity. Kristen claims that she never actually slept with Rupert Sanders, but Robert still has that nagging feeling of doubt that she did. It’s too early for him to fully accept that they’re an item again, but Kristen is pushing for them to go back to how they were.”
And apparently, he's not the only one with a lack of 100% faith in their reunion!
Even the studio execs organizing the promotional campaign for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 don't want to take any risks with their, ahem, 'contentious' relationship status, and have taken pretty drastic measures to ensure all will go smoothly!
An insider confirms:
“Despite getting back together, Rob and Kristen will have separate hotel rooms booked for them on the upcoming promotional tour for Breaking Dawn-Part 2. Summit Entertainment isn't taking any chances that the couple will have problems again and be forced to scramble at the last minute to book one of them a posh hotel suite. In fact, in several cities, rooms have been booked for Kristen at a separate hotel from the rest of the A-list cast. Rob and Kristen are always professional, but the fact is she cheated on him, and this media tour needs to go off without a hitch.”
Well, hey! We can't say we blame them!
OR Rob, for that matter!
We're SURE that Kristen is doing all she can to right her wrongs, but the fact of the matter is, she's lucky that he even is willing to consider taking her back after what she pulled!
That doesn't give him the right to punish her forever over it, but we think she's got to understand that healing and forgiveness take time, and that the wounds are still pretty fresh right now!
The best thing you both can do is just take things one day at a time, and try not to get too worked up in the process!
