Honey Boo Boo supports Spirit Day and her Uncle Poodle does too!
Sugar Bear's out and proud brother is using his newfound fame for good by raising awareness for the bullying of LGBT youth.
In a short YouTube video (above), the respectable and self-proclaimed redneck reflects on his own personal experience of growing up gay in the South by saying:
"Growing up as a kid, I was bullied day in and day out in school -- broke ribs, dislocated jaw, cars vandalized. I've had cars vandalized to this day, but I have a family that stands by me and supports me."
Unfortunately, not everyone experiencing the same problem has the same kind of support from their family.
It's SO important to be conscious of the issues facing the LGBT community and lend a helping hand in the their struggle for acceptance, which is what this day is all about.
