Christina Applegate Has NOT Been Asked Back For The Anchorman Sequel!

We thought the cast of Anchorman: The Legend Continues was complete since Champ Kind David Koechner told sources that Christina Applegate was officially on board to play Veronica Corningstone again.

Unfortunately, that's not the case and we're a little concerned! Applegate recently revealed that she hasn't been asked back yet and doesn't even "know the status or if it's all going to happen."

We hope Will Ferrell or at least somebody that knows somebody that knows Will Ferrell is reading this because we want it to happen!

While the writers and director aren't sure whether or not to bring her back for the sequel, Applegate is sure she'd like a part, "Even if it's just a walk-on." The actress did not hesitate to express her interest in the project and said:

"Of course I would love to be there. They know that. The world knows that. Why would I not want to? It's the best job I've ever had — that and Sweet Charity [She starred in a Broadway revival of the classic musical]. They know that I want to be there."

We hope they're just taking their time to make a formal offer because she should be there. Get on it, guys!
