We ADORE this play!!
David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize winning Glengarry Glen Ross was a Broadway hit in the '80s before they adapted the dark, depressing story into a 1992 feature film.
Al Pacino starred in the movie, earning an Oscar nomination for his role as Ricky Roma -- the slick and successful salesman at the top of the food chain.
And now Pacino wants to bring it back to the stage!!
This time, he will play a down-on-his-luck Shelly Levene -- the struggling salesman willing to do anything to save his job.
Jack Lemmon portrayed Levene masterfully in the film, so these are big roles to fill.
This newest stage rendition will be helmed by director Daniel Sullivan, who already worked with Pacino on The Merchant of Venice!
This is a phenomenal script, a veteran director, and a great cast so far -- we're totes excited to see how this all plays out, LOLz!!
